A few of our excellent women commenters have graciously sent in a video, some incognito and… what would be the opposite? “Cognito?” Anyway, I’m looking for more to join in, along with veterans, newcomers, de-lurkers, and however else you choose to self-identify.

Hello, all good friends of The Number Ones Commenting Section. (That would be “TNOCS” to you and me.)
I really appreciate the encouragement regarding my dopey videomashes, as well as the longer pieces. They really are a labor of love for all of you, a tiny, little way for me to pay back some of the joy, the good laughs and fun times that you’ve all given to me.
If you came this far, thank you. I’m trying to cook something up for a debut in our group later this month, and wanted to ask you for your help.
You all came through big-time for our last effort, “All Over The World”, back in April (posted in the writeup for “Another One Bites the Dust.”) If you didn’t see it, check it out at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=batVCFFLDU4 .
I had a fun idea relating to an upcoming Number One, and wanted to make another TNOCS collaboration video starring… you. If I can get enough of you to contribute, say, 30 or more good souls, then it’s on. Here’s what I’d like to ask:
- Send a quick 3-10 second video of you or your environment to me via email at [email protected]
- Cell phone vid is perfectly OK.
- Some suggestions regarding content:
- The vibe is a little on the “romantic and mysterious” side, as opposed to “silly.”
- Movement: walking around, inside or outside will work very well.
- Looking at, then, away from the camera. Bonus points for vice-versa.
- Starting in the frame, and then walking out of frame – or vice versa will be epic.
- Obscuring your face, entire body, etc. for privacy is absolutely OK if you choose. (A great example: see what Sooth came up with a cool way of participating “incognito” in the “All Over The World” video.)
- Please keep the video content G-rated, as it will be posted to YouTube, and I don’t want to go to jail.
- You all are way more imaginative than me. Ham it up.
- You do you, just keep in mind that a cover track of “Take On Me” will be playing. Anything that dovetails with that concept will fly.

Please give me permission to use your images, and to publish your TNOCS username in my finished video. I absolutely promise I will not use your real name, email address, or anything else that you ask me not to use when I make and post the video.
Let’s see if we can pull this together. If you can help me promote this idea at TNOCS, that will be awesome. Whether you are a lurker, a longtime regular, a new contributor… you are all welcome to join in the lunacy. I have nearly 4 minutes of video to fill – so hit me up, and let’s rock.

Yikes! We have some terrific submissions already! I’m editing furiously as we speak. Might need more coffee, or at least a power nap.
It’s not too late at all… newbies and those that rarely post are super-welcome. And to all our veteran commenters… I’m lookin’ at you.
Your presence will be a big hit with your friends here. I guarantee.

Great responses and great submissions from so many great commenters! Your imagination is a beautiful thing to behold.
Production is going along swimmingly, so much so that we can extend the original deadline for a few more days! For those of you still on the fence… we sure would love your company. As Barney Rubble himself once said, “The mortar, the merrier.” (So awful. Sorry.)
All are emphatically welcomed. In particular, it would be great to see something from some of the esteemed TNOCS women that help to make this place so much fun.
